IMMIGRATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Hanes & Bartels LLC is a multi-practice law firm located in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, serving clients in central and southern Colorado for over 25 years. Our Immigration Team offers over 25 years of experience working with individuals and organizations, both profit and non-profit, in business, family, consular processing, humanitarian, and removal defense matters. Our clients range from individuals to business in industries including technology, engineering, sports and entertainment, healthcare, education, religious, finance and accounting, agriculture, hospitality and business management.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Associate to join our Immigration Team to represent clients in immigration legal proceedings and matters in front of the US Departments of Homeland Security, State, Labor, Justice, and other related agencies.
Counsel, and advise clients in business, family, humanitarian, global, and removal defense immigration matters.
Conduct consultations with potential clients
Oversee and manage legal staff preparing cases from origin to completion in specific matters including immigrant and nonimmigrant employment-based maters such as Extraordinary Aliens, Multinational Managers, National Interest Waivers, Professionals, SIRW, Entrepreneurs, workforce compliance, and family-based immigrant and nonimmigrant applications, consular processing, immigration consequences of criminal matters, asylum, victims of crime, trafficking, and domestic violence, deferred action and temporary protected status, and removal defense.
May prepare for and represent clients in state court for matters such as predicate orders for SIJS.
Assist in training, marketing, and overseeing management of immigration team.
May travel to and from Immigration Court and Administrative Interviews.
Juris Doctorate, accredited law school
Licensed Bar Member in good standing, preferably in Colorado
2 years of post-graduate, professional experience in immigration law including advising clients on available immigration options and representing clients before the Immigration Court and during administrative interviews
Spanish or bilingual-speaker (preferred, but not necessary)
SALARY/WAGES: $60,000 to $70,000 (depending on experience level); BENEFITS: Health insurance benefits, 401k and standard vacation and PTO
